The Grand Vallon golf course, located at the base of majestic Mont-Sainte-Anne, now offers the First Drive program, destined to make young golfer’s sporting debut easier.
A 100 yard Par 3 with First Drive!
With the First Drive program, special tee-offs have been installed for kids 11 years or younger. This new appropriate distance allows parents to initiate their children to the practice of golf while taking into account their children’s capacity, making the challenge more accessible and fun. These new and adapted distances are: 100 yards for a Par 3, 200 yards for a Par 4 and 250 yards for a Par 5. On the Quebec province, only 20 clubs are certified for this new program, launched by the ATGQ and largely inspired by the Matiss Tour circuit.
Free after 4 pm!
In addition to modifications to the tee-offs, kids 11 years and younger can play a 9 hole of golf for free, after 4pm, when accompanied by an adult. To that effect, Le Grand Vallon has even put together a special package, which includes 9 hole round of golf for a parent and a child and even a beverage after the round (juice for youth, a choice of juice or beer for the parent) for only 30$ plus taxes! And let’s not forget that the VIP treatment that has made this club popular applies even to the mini Mike Weirs: the round includes valet-golf upon the family’s arrival, electric cart, illustrated yardage book and access to the practice areas for a warm-up before the round.
